EdTech at the Bottom of the Pyramid

Theme

EdTech at the Bottom of the Pyramid

LEI’s EdTech work focuses on how technology can support learning equity in contexts where resources, infrastructure, and instructional support are limited. This includes equity-centered tools for teachers and learners, and policy analysis to understand what it takes for EdTech to translate into real learning gains.

Equity-Focused Instruction Chatbot

India + Ghana · Instructional support · Ongoing

This ongoing project is developing a chatbot designed to support instruction with a deliberate focus on equity and marginalized learners. The tool is intended to help educators (and/or learning support staff) translate evidence-based instructional practices into actionable guidance that fits local classrooms and learner needs.

EdTech Policy Review in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC)

LAC · Policy review · Ongoing

This ongoing work reviews EdTech policy and implementation across Latin America and the Caribbean, with an emphasis on learning equity. Bridges to the Future Initiative (BFI)

Multilingual literacy · Low-resource contexts · Legacy program

Bridges to the Future Initiative (BFI) developed and tested multimedia approaches to promote literacy and essential learning skills in low-resource settings. The work emphasized culturally relevant design and multilingual support, demonstrating how thoughtfully designed EdTech can expand learning opportunities where instructional resources are scarce.
