The vision of the Learning Equity Initiative is to achieve educational equity for those most in need in low- and middle-income countries by sharing expertise, promoting research-based innovations, and building partnerships to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Learning is the key to education, social and economic development.
More than two billion low-literate children, youth and adults are still in need of quality education and this situation has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. With the end of the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals fast approaching, global stakeholders are increasingly committed to achieving learning equity, by both raising the floor of those most in need and narrowing the gaps between the rich and the poor.
At Learning Equity Initiative (LEI), we aim to leverage our extensive and growing network of policymakers, government leaders, researchers, universities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to research and achieve improved learning outcomes, and greater learning equity, for marginalized children and youth.
